Bacon and Big Dog Turds

It appears I'm not doing a very good job of creating a very exciting blog or farsebook page.  Maybe I should cook some bacon naked and video it. However, I do see a flaw in that plan.  Cooking bacon creates a bit of "spatter" and that said spatter could be detrimental to important areas. I did get a few "Likes" this week on the ole farsebook though.  Overall, I'm still having fun with the ole bloggin thing and bacon thing and the pound o bacon friday thing and the repetitive weekly bacon eating. I had a few slices of bacon with an omelette for lunch on Friday.  Just couldn't help myself.  That bacon stuff is just delicious and so nutritious. Think about it.... Remember when "they" said eggs were bad for you because of all the fat in the yolk?  Well, just wait.  Eventually "they" are going to be saying.... "Upon further review and statistical analysis of the datum, we have come to the scientific conclusion that the ingestion of fried pork products actually enhances the libido and extends life by .17 times that of the average human. So the question is.... Do you want to be average?  I mean really, average people die, but baconators live on. Example:  My grandparents.... They still eat bacon.  Coincidence?  I think not!! Well this turned out to be pretty random.  I did cook bacon jalepeno poppers again this week but I added some pepperoni to the mix.  Arrllll.  It was bacon-licious. SQUIRREL!

Bacon Friday Jalapeno Poppers

It was another delicious Friday containing a pound of bacon in the form of wrapped jalapenos.  Also, it will become blatently obvious as you read further that I don't follow any recipes normally.  I just throw stuff together.  Hmm, I'll try to actually document my bacon recipes better. First I started with what I thought would be spicy jalapenos.... NOT! Since I figured they wouldn't be spicy, I slightly pureed the innards. Then I also slightly powderized a hearty amount of crushed red pepper and combined it with the jalapeno innards and cream cheese. Stuffed em... Wrapped em.... Cooked at around 450F for 23 min 45 sec.  (Not sure on the exact temp., and I just pressed 2345 on my timer cuz it was easy.)  I also broiled them for about 5 min 55 sec at the end to brown up the tops nicely.

POBF Brekkie Bacon Implosion

When I first started Pound O Bacon Friday I never envisioned it being this amazing.  This weekend's Brekkie Bacon Implosion was IN-credible!  It's kinda like a breakfast burrito with bacon but inside out. This is very similar to the bacon explosion or my version, da bacon bomb.  However, now it's more like breakfast. Ingredients:

  • 1lb Spicy Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 1/4 Red Bell Pepper
  • LOTS of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • Little Seasoning
  • 1/4 Potato cut in slivers
  • 1/4 Red Onion
  • Pepperoni
  • 4 Super Spicy Green Chilis
  • Little BBQ Sauce, Fuji Muji Sauce, Texas Champagne, Teriyaki all mixed on top of the sausage.  (Fuji Muji and TX Champagne are hot sauces)
  • Garlic cloves cut in thirds.  (I forgot this step.  ARRGH)
